We who run the farm
From May 1, 2025, we, Marléne and Johan Sandegren, will own and run the farm. However, you will probably mostly meet me, Marléne, and the farm dog Gaston as Johan works as a consultant in Gothenburg but will drop in from time to time. We both grew up in Stockholm but are now year-round residents in Nösund. Johan's family has been here for several generations so that was one of the reasons why we ended up here.
The history of the farm
Originally, the farm consisted of an old granary from the late 19th century, which today serves as a hostel and is located towards the parking lot. There was also a stable from 1873, and today the hotel building with the restaurant stands there. Rudolf Leopold Gerle, who came to the village in 1875, opened Bohuslän's largest store here and also ensured that the telephone, post office and bank came to the village. Stig and Lisbet started the hostel about 30 years ago and have run Nösundsgården until we have now taken over the fine business.
Idea and vision
We want to give people an opportunity to experience the beautiful west coast all year round. Our goal is to have a good standard and have as many satisfied and loyal, and returning customers so that we can deliver even better and thus be able to exceed guests' expectations. We want to be the obvious choice! The environment is important and we have this mindset with us, which we also set as requirements for our partners who are primarily local and can deliver raw materials and services from the island.
You come here to stay, eat, drink and socialize. The farm offers hotel and hostel rooms, a café, bar and restaurant and an unbeatable environment.
